Lovicks Road Park is now open!
July 17, 2026

Lyndarum North residents came together to celebrate the official opening of the community’s newest neighbourhood park, with hundreds of families enjoying an afternoon of fun, connection and outdoor entertainment.
Held on Sunday 1 March, the community event welcomed between nearly 300 residents to the new 1.1-hectare park on Lovicks Road. Despite warm and windy conditions, the park was buzzing with activity as neighbours explored the new space and enjoyed a fantastic lineup of free family entertainment.
Children and adults alike made the most of the celebrations, with mini golf, giant lawn games, face painting and an interactive CFA truck demonstration keeping visitors entertained throughout the afternoon. Live music and complimentary food added to the festive atmosphere, creating the perfect setting for families to relax and connect with one another.
The new park has been thoughtfully designed to encourage active outdoor living and provide something for all ages. Features include a half basketball and netball court, multi-age play equipment, expansive grassed kick-about areas, natural stony knolls and discovery zones, as well as barbecue facilities, picnic tables and shaded shelters. Several mature River Red Gums have been retained throughout the park, adding natural beauty and character to the space, while local kangaroos even made a surprise appearance before festivities began.
From children chasing bubbles with freshly painted faces to teenagers making the most of the sporting facilities, the event showcased exactly what makes Lyndarum North such a welcoming and connected community.
The celebrations were a wonderful reminder that great communities are built around quality places to gather, play and create lasting memories together.
